Larry and I have been great friends since we arrived at Notre Dame. He will be the best man at my wedding and is one of the best men I have every met. A proud Philadelphian, Larry will probably request to be buried in an Eagles Jersey. He is the life of every party. My fondest memories of Larry involve him busting out some impressive dance moves while wearing red, white, and blue Zumbas.
Rameez has been one of my best friends since our freshman year at Notre Dame. To say Rameez is outspoken with a big personality would be a gross understatement. I love him to death and we always have a great time together. Despite being half a country away and working 100 hour weeks on Wall Street, Rameez manages to make time for friends. It is a safe bet that Rameez will do something to make a lasting impression at our wedding.
KM is another great friend from Notre Dame. While K is known for having a good time and being laid back, he is a ridiculously smart and responsible guy. Whether it's a football game, class, or white-water rafting, K is always one of the most thoughtful people to have around.
Mitchell - AKA GormGorm is a fellow Notre Dame and Throw1deep teammate. We met in high school and have remained great friends and training partners ever since. Mitchell and I spent countless hours through high school and college trying to get as big and strong as possible. Now we talk all the time about our quest to become skinny people. Mitchell is a loyal friend and it has been great knowing him all these years.
Chris and I have been great friends since he opened up his apartment to Joanna and me in the summer between my sophomore and junior year. The early portion of our friendship is heavily rooted in intense Mario Kart competitions, however that is far from the only thing that has kept us close friends. Chris might understand me and my personality better than anyone I know.
Craig I met Craig in the fourth grade and we have been great friends ever since. Craig is someone I have an enormous amount of respect for, and I have an awesome time whenever we are together. Some of my best memories of all time involve Craig. Countless hours beating ourselves up wakeboarding, exploring the city of Barcelona, USC vs. Notre Dame games, and too many all-you-can-eat meals to name come to mind. I am excited for future LA trips visiting both Craig and Chris.
Joanna is the best friend and the four-year Notre Dame roommate. She taught me to be who I am and to get what I want. She’s got a little curl in the middle of her forehead, so if you're good to those she loves, she'll be your best friend. But she will get after anyone who misbehaves on wedding day! (That is if she didn't become soft after her darling little boy was born last year!)
Robin is my big sister. She’s literally been there since the beginning, and I’ve been admiring her ever since. She’s the reason I went to Notre Dame, the reason I’m an engineer today, and an example of how I’ll run a household in the future. At 14 I was in her wedding, and at *some unimportant age* she’ll be in mine. Yes, there's a family resemblance. Watch for her sweet little boys tearing up the dance floor, and her little princess as the flower girl.
Ashley is my childhood chum. We went through every stage of childhood together, from soccer team acquaintances, to class room competitors, to locker-partners, and close friends for life. Ashley has always been there to challenge both my intellect and my attitude; I've learned a lot from her!
Nella is who you wish you could be. She supports every whim of the rest of our Notre Dame fearsome foursome (quad roommates Jo, me, Nella, and Barbara), and is an absolute enabler. Nella is down for anything, and definitely the coolest out of all of us. She’ll be the fiery brunette at the wedding; don’t confuse her with me when we’re dancing.
Barbara is the third of our college quartet. She works hard and knows what she wants. Her direction is an inspiration to the rest of us wanderers. She always tells you the truth, because she wears her emotions on her sleeve. She taught me to like my knees, because hers are identical. If we're lucky, we'll see some of her New Mexican fervor come out at the reception.
Allie was my very first friend, and her parents were practically mine, too. We spent all day every day together, playing with barbies and dolls, letting our gerbils run free in construction sites, building forts, and even going on each others' vacations. Allie is a big part of who I grew up to be, and she's a very important person in my life.
And our little charms!
Hannah is our flower girl. She's our niece, Robin and Dave's daughter, and she is an absolute princess. She was a big help shopping for dresses! (Don't worry, this isn't the one I went with!) She can't wait to put on a pretty dress to be our "fwowa guwl." We're going a little young with our flower girl and ring bearer, so best case scenario - they have to be carried, crying down the aisle by mom or dad ;)
Bennett is our ring bearer and nephew, Matt and Anna's son. We called him zen baby as an infant, because he's destined to be very wise. Unfortunately his looks may get in the way of anyone taking him seriously, because he's absolutely darling.
